Hi friends,

Am Neeraj Varma MCA 2010 Batch from VIT University Vellore (TN). HCL Technology was came in our college at 12th January 2010 for recruitmentabout HCL everybody know its a very good IT-company. It is very well known for its “Employee First” policy.

Eligible Branches:
– ->1. B.Tech(selected branches)
– ->2. M.Tech(selected branches)
– ->3. MCA & MS(SE)

Eligibility:
– ->1. 60% in X,XII,UG as applicable

these things may vary some times

HCL pattern for 2010 at our college was
– ->[A] Online Test
– ->[B] Technical
– ->[C] HR-interview
at our time NO GD

[A] The test was an online one

The question pattern for HCL is as follows

– ->1. Verbal – 25 questions – 25 min
– ->2. Aptitude – 25 questions – 35 min
– ->3. Logical Reasoning- 25 questions – 35 min

Note:
– ->1. No jumping between questions is possible.
– -> 2. Only if you finish the first question,than only you can go to the other one.

Around 10-11am they took the test online
Around 11-12am they gave ppt about HCL Tehnology
Around 12.30pm they announced the online test result
And from their it self we have to go for HR and Technical round

So about test it was simple some common topics was:

– ->Probability, Permutations and Combination, Work, Distance, Time
– ->Sentence Correction, Passage reading
– -> Synonyms & Antonyms, Sentence matching for the conditions based on the Passage,
– ->Simple English questions, and many more…

Just focus on RS Agarwal both books (quantitative aptitude and verbal, on-verbal reasoning), and a simple English objective book solve some puzzles also during test maintain the speed.

[B]&[C] After that Tech and HR was common for us in HCL interview they asked some very simple questions like :

1.about software project management….some basics ?(this question based on your area of interest)
2. tell me something about your self ?
3. oracle9i and 10g ?
4. xml ?
5. basics of java ?

7. if i wont select so what will be the reasons ?
8. differ b/w XP and vista ?
9. if u don’t know any technology and i will give u work based on that tech. how will u do?
10. your long term and short term goals ?
11. strengths?
12. some questions from ur resume directly
13. some times abt your project…work

Some HR questions was very tricky and many more near about 25+ minute. You have to be very good in English and communication skills for some of my friends the questions was like based on multi-threading, iso-osi model, process model, stack and queue, oops, sql-query.

Don’t go for ONLY these questions be ready for any technical and HR question

Focus on your area of interest and some basic subjects like

C, C++, Java, DS, DB, Softy, OS, N/W, and 1 more thing. They are really nice people. Just be honest, Be cool, and most important is be confident. In the night 8.30 they disclosed the results and I was there. In the list total 42/200+ students are selected.

(From MCA me and my two more friends total 3/40+)

So now onwards I am a part of HCL family thanks to VIT and HCL for giving me this opportunity.

“EVERY BODY SAYING THAT BE CONFIDENT …BUT THE THING IS IF U REALLY FINISHED ALL PREPARATION THAN ONLY CONFIDENCE WILL COME ”

Means touch all possible 8-10 technical subjects basics & RS Agarwal both books and puzzles and English and good in English speaking and communication skill. Finally I want to say luck is nothing in the world, write your own luck by hard work.

So, All the best my dear friends!

Samsung Galaxy S i9000 and S8500 Wave smartphones Cost and features, Specifications, cost

The Samsung i9000 Galaxy S and S8500 Wave smartphones are on their way to Indian markets.

While the Samsung i9000 Galaxy S is an Android smartphone, the S8500 Wave will run Samsung’s own Bada OS.

The two smartphones from the Samsung stables were made official sometime earlier this year.

The Samsung i9000 Galaxy S is an Android handset with a 4 inch super AMOLED display with 800 x 480 pixels resolution. The 4 inch display is significant, as it makes this smartphone Samsung’s biggest touchscreen device ever.

Running Android 2.1 OS and powered by a ARM Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor, the Samsung i9000 Galaxy S has a 5 megapixel camera sensor, and support for HD video playback, plus the Social Hub that provides access to various social networking websites. The add-ons include a Swype virtual QWERTY keypad and the Thinkfree software that opens and edits Microsoft Office 2007 documents. Samsung’s TouchWiz 3.0 UI is overlaid on the Android interface. Some of you would definitely prefer to get rid of it, we are sure.The phone can be upgraded to Android 2.2.

The Samsung Galaxy S i9000 phone supports quad-band GSM and tri-band 3G – useful when 3G finally comes to India. You also get WiFi, stereo bluetooth, a secondary camera for video calls. There are no pre-installed apps for GPS, say some reviews, but Android includes a Google Maps application – and that is as good as most of us want it.

Further, Samsung has incorporated a feature called mobile Digital Natural Imagine engine (mDNIe) and has explained that it would give more clarity to on-creen images. If you would remember, Samsung had earlier employed this technology in its LCD and LED TVs.

While the 5 megapixel camera should keep you happy, the phone is missing a Flash – and that is unfortunate in a phone that is priced at the top end of the market.

Meanwhile, the second mobile phone that is to arrive in India is the Samsung S8500 Wave that runs on the Samsung Bada OS. The S8500 too has a super AMOLED 3.1 inch display. Features include a 5 megapixel camera placed at the back and connectivity via Bluetooth 3.0 HSDPA and Wi-Fi. The phone will also sport an accelerometer, proximity sensor, and the Samsung TouchWiz UI 3.0.

The Samsung i9000 Galaxy is priced at a rather high Rs 28,000 in India, while the Wave is priced at Rs 25,000.

Best Fairness Cream|Best Fairness cream for men and women Fairness creams reviewed

No one knows beauty products better than women, who are always trying something or the other on their skin. From Banana to Rose water yes they have tried it all to look younger and for a fairer complexion. But apart from all these natural products is there a product in the Indian market which can make a women or man fairer in fewer days, we will find out by reviewing these fairness creams. Since nearly every product in the market claims to making you fair from Shahid Kapoor to John Abraham and from Katrina Kaif to Kajole selling Olay products. The market for beauty products is vast but the market for fairness creams I think occupies 90% of the space.

Long from the days of Britisher’s we have always loathed dark skin thinking the white is always right, because of the hot climate in India most of us are dark skinned. And no matter what we try the colour pigmentation in our skin doesn’t seem to be responding to these products easily. Have you ever wished you could just wash off the colour of your skin just like those Tide washing powder ads, where dirt vanishes instantly?

Let us look at some of the popular skin whitening products available in the Indian market both for men and women.

Fair and Lovely:- The Fair and lovely fairness cream is probably the oldest in the Indian market focused on woman’s skin it promises to provide you beautiful and fairer skin. Priced around 28-40 Rs. It comes for various different skins, Fair and lovely multivitamins, Fair and lovely ayurvedic etc. It is said to not contain harmful ingredients like Mercury and Steroids. The Fair and lovely cream is said to contain Unilever's Patented Skin Lightening technology that comprises of a synergistic combination of Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) with UVA and UVB sunscreens which work together to protect the skin from darkening and gently, safely lightening the skin. If you ask me I have been using Fair and Lovely half my life but never helped me, so I think it’s just not for male skins. As for woman I think it has mild effect and would take really high amount to get your skin tone from dark to white. The biggest drawback I noticed about Fair and lovely is that when used in summers you may get pimples.

Fair and Handsome: - Shockingly the Indian fairness cream market never saw the males as their potential customers, until the Emami Fair and Handsome cream was launched. It can be said as the first cream to focus on Indian males. It is priced around 37 Rs for a medium pack. And yes I must say it works, atleast on my complexion it did show some positive results. But it has drawbacks the cream is sticky and does not spread over your skin. May be a gel base formulation would make it more effective. The ingredients have not been shared by the cream makers but they claim it to be Ayurvedic and natural.

Garnier for Men Power Light:- Garnier is a well known brand among beauty products, it has recently launched its popular Garnier for Men Powerlight cream, with a gel based cream Garnier Powerlight seems to be effective for all skins. It also provides you with SPF15 sun screen. Though I must say it is not for people who can spend. It is priced above 100 Rs for a single pack. The efficacy of the cream may depend on usage and your skin type.

Garnier Light Moisturizer :- Garnier light is mainly for woman’s skin. The cream claims to reduce dark skin pigmentation hence whitening your skin. The price of Garnier Light Moisturizer is decent and can be used without burning a hole in your pocket. Garnier Light Moisturizer combines selected natural ingredients in a proven formula. It is enriched with pure lemon essence and Vitamin C that help to clarify and smoothen your skin. The product also contains SPF 15 for sun screen protection. The product looks promising and can be tried.

Ponds white beauty:- A company like Ponds can never be left behind when it comes to skin and beauty products. Ponds body lotions and face wash are quite popular products in the market. Similarly, Pond’s white beauty is trying to acquire a higher customer share. Pond's White Beauty is focused on middle and higher end customers, the Ponds white beauty is a powerful skin lightening cream that claims to combines Lycopene + Pro-Vitamin B3 in a formula that works to help replenish the skin’s depleted Lycopene levels. It is said to contain sun’s screen prevention ingredients. It also gently dilutes the accumulated melanin in the skin, helping give it a radiant pinkish-white glow as it lightens. The effectiveness of the cream can only be measured by usage.

Ponds Age Miracle:- The Ponds Age Miracle focuses on tightening your skin and reducing the fine lines and wrinkles, it is usually for middle aged woman. As other Ponds products this also claims to help the consumer in nearly seven days. The results on the consumers who tried it seem positive. Rest can only be said after trying the product. The product is focused on middle to high end consumers.

Olay Total Effects:- Olay is one revolutionary product that seems to have captured the market within such marginal time. The cream has just captured the market, if you go in a store and ask for the cream you won’t find it ladies are crazy about this product. Olay claims to fight seven signs of aging, it is non sticky and has light scent, can be used easily in summers. Olay Total Effects 7X contains VitaNiacin which has Vitamin E, Pro-Vitamin B5, and Vitamin B3. Olay Total Effects 7X is available in either a 1.7 oz. tube or a 3.4 oz tube (3.4 oz. tube lasts 16 weeks when used once in the morning) that is dispensed via an easy to use pump cap. This formula is dermatologist tested, non-comedogenic (won't clog pores), color and fragrance free, oil free, and fast absorbing.
Olay claims that daily use this product helps fight 7 signs of aging. This means with regular use Olay Total Effects 7X diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, Smooth out skin texture, even out skin tone, improve skin dullness, minimize large pores, visibly reduce blotches and age spots, and help heal dry cracked skin

These are some of the main fairness creams from Indian market in my opinion the major products to go after are Olay and Fair and Handsome. Though Olay has been focused on woman I think men too can try it for best results, remember to use face wash and clean your skin on regular basis for healthy and glowing results. There are other new products as well Fair and Lovely menz active, Nivea for Men, Vasline Mens etc. Rest melanin is an eminent part of human skin and prevents us from Sun damage there is no shame in have a dark complexion some of our famous models and actress are dark skinned too.

Best Triceps Exercises

A number of criteria went in to selecting the best triceps exercises. I focused on compound exercises over isolation. We also want to be able to go as heavy as possible in order to build the size and strength we are seeking. Work a couple of these exercises into your weekly training, and you will see a huge improvement in your triceps within 2 months.

Until I get my video camera set up, you can enjoy the following videos from YouTube.

  1. Close grip bench pressClose grip bench is probably the best triceps exercise on the planet. This exercise allows you to go heavy and put maximum stress on the one muscle besides the pecs that can help increase your bench.

    You want to set up like a regular bench press, but position your hands no wider than shoulder width. On the descent, you want to keep your elbows in; do not let your elbows drift away from your body like you would with a regular bench press.

    At the bottom of the movement, you want the bar to come to the lower portion of your chest; at the top of the movement, the bar should be over your upper chest.

    Ideally, your forearms should be perpendicular to the floor at all times. Your hands and wrists should be directly over your elbows throughout the movement.

  2. Dips (weighted)A classic triceps builder. Keep your body as upright as possible to put the stress on your triceps rather than your chest.

    Use a belt with a chain to add weight to your body if you can do more than 5 reps at bodyweight.

    Be careful to always respect the flexibility and stability of your shoulders. Be sure not to lower your body so far that your shoulders become compromised, and always use strict form and a bounce-free concentric movement.

  3. Rack lockouts or board pressTrue powerlifting exercises, these two can be used interchangeably but only choose to use one of these exercises in any given workout. For the most part they train the same muscles.

    The goal here is to train the top portion of the bench press, where triceps rain supreme. I prefer rack lockouts because if I do use too much weight I can just rack the bar, and I don’t have to worry about carrying around a bunch of boards nailed together as if I didn’t already carry enough equipment around in my gym bag.

    Rack Lockouts

    Board Press

    However, most powerlifters that I have ever known prefer the board press to rack lockouts. I believe this is because the board press is identical to a regular bench press, except that the range of motion is much shorter (and there’s a big board on your chest). You can also vary the thickness of the boards from 1 inch to 10 inches or whatever you need for your workout.

  4. Lying French press (aka skullcrushers, nosebreakers)This is as close as I’ll get to recommending a triceps extension type exercise. The reason I like this exercise so much is that you really can work up to a decent weight, and it works your triceps from a different angle than any of the pressing movements.

    I suggest using an EZ curl bar and positioning your hands shoulder width apart. Lower the bar under control down to your nose, your hairline, or behind your head. If you feel any pain in your triceps, opt to lower the bar behind your head.

    In the following video we split the difference… this guy lower the bar to his hairline. I typically prefer behind the head.

  5. Close grip (diamond) push ups (with a clap)What? How did this get in here? No seriously, if you can bang out a set of 10 diamond push ups that’s great, but can you clap after each rep. This is an exercise that will really condition your triceps to contract with maximum force.

    You want to position your hands underneath your chest with index fingers and thumb tips touching. The space between should form a diamond. As soon as you can do 10 of these without the clap, add the clap. In order to clap properly you will need to push yourself up high enough to execute the clap and return your hands to their proper diamond position for the next rep.

    If this is too hard you can work up to it by placing plates or books beside your hands, and ‘jump’ up onto them. This is initially a shorter range of motion than a clap.

    In the following video this guy is just doing regular diamond push ups without a clap. We do these in thai kickboxing class.

If you use a 3-day full body training split, you can probably choose 3 of these exercises, using 1 each day. If you have an ‘arm day’ (which is a totally bogus topic for another day), you can probably choose 2 of these exercise for your triceps routine.

Keep reps under 5 per set, and do no more than 3-5 sets of each exercise including warm-ups.
