Untethered iOS 4.3.2 jailbreak for iOS devices was achieved through independent iOS Security Research & developer Stefan Essar's (@i0n1c) exploit code. Untethered jailbreak allows the iOS device user to reboot the device anytime. There is no need to connect the device for every reboot.

iPhone Dev-Team and @i0n1c was able to easily update and release redsn0w and PwnageTool 4.3.2 since Apple didn’t fix the hole for jailbreaking yet.

“Only a few weeks after the 4.3.1 untether created by @i0n1c was released, Apple pushed out firmware 4.3.2. Thankfully, it appears Apple didn’t have a chance to fix the hole used by @i0n1c’s untether, so he ported his code over to 4.3.2’s kernel. Today’s redsn0w has been updated to include it.”
